Oftentimes you won't be able to capture the bokeh that you would have wanted straight in-camera. There's an easy fix for that, just add bokeh textures overlay to the image
How to Use Bokeh textures
- Open the image that you want to add bokeh textures to
- Go to File > Place. Pick the bokeh texture you want to use then click OK
- Change the blending mode of the bokeh layer to Screen or Linear Dodge
